D. APPLICATIONS

GENERAL:

P.V.37, a Dioxazine Pigment, imparts Bluish Red hue and is slightly more reddish shade than  P.V.23 pigment.  It  has a slightly better overall performance compared to PV-23  and is particularly resistant to migration.

PLASTICS / POLYMERS 

  • * Poly Olefins -When PV37 is used for polyolefin coloring, the heat resistance of 1/3 Sd can reach 290 °C, but when dosage is decreased, its heat resistance drops sharply.
  • * PE The light fastness can reach 8 grades in PE, and in reduction can reach 7~8 grades. It is suitable for general purpose polyolefin plastics, general engineering plastics.
  • * PP / POLY ESTER / NYLON-6
    •  Pigment Violet 37 is suitable for pre-spinning of polypropylene, polyester and nylon 6 fibers spinning, the concentration should not be too low, otherwise, there will be a colour change
  • * In Plastics P.V.37 has the advantage of being considerably more migration resistant than P.V.23
  • * In Paints, P.V.37 exhibits a considerably more reddish shade and has slightly reduced tinctorial strength.
  • * Inks –  In NC Printing inks based on nitrocellulose and PU are unique in that it  provides high tinctorial strength and excellent gloss.
  • *  In other oil-based printing inks for purposes such as offset printing, it is somewhat weaker than P.V.23, but exhibits high gloss and  good flow behavior. 
  •  * Its main field of application within the printing ink industry is in metal deco printing. Its Fastness properties in such applications equal those of P.V.23.
